There are few fields in the global market and economy that have constant growth and one of them is alternative energy. Michael Polsky, the founder and CEO of Invenergy is one of the biggest names when it comes to renewable energy.

Before the Invenergy became a globally recognizable brand, Polsky was busy making SkyGen Energy, one of the most successful systems in the independent energy industry.

He married his wife Maya in Ukraine in 1975 and they moved to the United States in 1976 with nothing more than 500 dollars and few suitcases.

Eager to succeed and make their dreams come true, the couple worked dedicatedly day and night. After 31 years of marriage, in 2003, Maya filed for divorce citing, what other than, “irreconcilable differences” as the reason.

After three years of battle in court, the judge finally decided that Maya was entitled to half of the fortune and she walked off with 184 million dollars.
