Kardashians in Jerusalem: a holy affair that the world’s watching!

Kim Kardashian along with her rapper-husband Kanye West and their 22-month-old baby girl North landed at Jerusalem on Monday.

They were scheduled to stay at the Waldorf Astoria but had to be taken to another hotel after their plans got leaked to the press.

For their safety, they hired a security company specializing in celeb visits to Jerusalem. Kim called this trip a “journey of a lifetime.”

Wondering what the celebrity couple was doing at the Holy Land?

Why were they at Jerusalem?

Kanye got their bundle of joy baptized at an Armenian church, Saint James Cathedral in Jerusalem in a highly traditional ceremony, with Kim’s sister, Khloe Kardashian as baby North’s godmother.

Kim shared pictures of the ornate interior of the church on Instagram and wrote, “Good morning Jerusalem!

We woke up really early to see the site where the crucifixion of Jesus Christ took place.” The entire trip is being recorded by cameramen for the TV show Keeping up with the Kardashians.

Numerous fans turned up outside the cathedral for a glimpse of the curvy beauty and her family.

What they wore?

Despite her reputation of showing a lot of skin and tottering on sky-high heels, Kim was dressed in a chic and modest floor-length full-sleeved dress with a cross-over neckline barely showing cleavage and sensible flat sandals.

North was clothed in a traditional white baptismal robe, while her father, Kanye was dressed wholly in pristine white. Looks like the family was quite serious about the ritual, ditching their boundary-pushing selves for a more muted, religious look!

Khloe was however reported to have attended the baptism ceremony in sneakers and ripped jeans.
