2015 MTV Movie Awards – A Quick Flashback
Did you tune in to the 2015 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday? If you haven’t, here are some of the things you missed out on.
The best moments
Host Amy Schumer’s opener was a zinger and true to her irreverent and feminist style!
Vin Diesel singing a few lines of “See you again” in memory of his co-star, the late Paul Walker will surprise you and touch your heart.
There was a funny (and sexy) moment when JLo coaxed Channing Tatum to show off a few twerking moves!
Robert Downey Jr. gave a Downey trademark acceptance speech, juxtaposing humility with scornful humor, for his Generation Award – he began by saying that he’d waited with patience for ten long years to emerge from “a massive, trippy cat head” – referring to the stage set design!
The worst moments
There were a few moments of awkwardness that will have you cringing in second-hand embarrassment.
Like Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara’s attempt at banter about how they ‘practiced’ kissing, before giving out the award for the Best Kiss.
Shailene Woodley gave a touching acceptance speech when she received the Best Actress award for her role in “The Fault In Our Stars” which made the book’s author John Green tear up.
So what happened when she went to receive the Trailblazer Award? She faltered and repeated herself, struggling with her words, using the word ‘pillar’ three times in one sentence.
The best lookers
Here is a look at the gorgeous ladies who were dressed to kill on the red carpet.
Holland Roden of the Teen Wolf fame was dressed in a chic Caterina Gatta dress with collars paired with blue shoes, while Scarlett Johansson, in an amazing pixie cut, was one of the few to wear a jumpsuit – she paired the pink Zuhair Murad creation with a teal clutch and colorful shoes.
Jennifer Lopez heated things up a bit with a short black Versace number, looking effortlessly stylish with stacked metallic bracelets and rings adorning her hands.
